Spain: Huelva will export cut and packed strawberries from 2012


Strawberries from Huelva will be exported cut and packed from 2012 on. A project of the Chamber of Commerce in Huelva will support an alternative of production for fresh strawberries.


A plant located in Aljaraque will be built in order to cut and pack strawberries, as announced Arsenio Martinez, Director of the Chamber.


This will be the first plant with these characteristics in Huelva. It is expected to increase the added value of the fruit to benefit the growers.
