Vietnam leads in terms of cashew nut export
Vietnam’s cashew industry has always led the world in terms of exporting cashew nuts since 2006 with its export turnover increasing unceasingly to US$920 million in 2008 from US$504million in 2006, according to the Vietnam Cashew Association.
In 2009 alone, despite the impact of the global economic crisis, cashew nut export turnover still reached US$850 million.
With the investments in equipment and machinery in the industry, cashew nut export turnover is expected to attain US$1 billion this year.
Binh Phuoc is the locality where there is the biggest area under cashew in the country with nearly 200,000 hectares, as much as 45% of the area under cashew nationwide, and with the average productivity of around 1.5 – 2 million tonnes a hectare.

vous parlez sans doute d’une productivité de 1,5 à 2 tonnes à l’hectare en fin de texte? Ces vietnamiens sont étonnants par leur capacité à devenir très vite les numéro 1 là où ils s’investissent mais comme le café la culture de la noix de cajou à outrance n’endommage t’elle par leur sol?
