After the very high demand for onions, which one could see in February, the onion market is relatively calm at the moment. The demand is still high but clearly lower than a few weeks ago.

The supply of onion is sufficient due to import of onion from the Netherlands and prices of onions stopped growing. They probably reached the upper limit and buyers would not pay more for onion.

On Wednesday, March 3, the price of domestic onion, size 40 + was from 1.00 PLN (0.25 €)/kg to 1.25 PLN (0.32 €)/kg depending on the region of Poland. The highest price of imported onion reached the level 1.50 PLN (0.38 €)/kg.
