Higher export prices of frozen strawberries

According to preliminary data of Analytical Centre of Customs Administration (CAAC) in 2008 the average export price of frozen strawberries, Polish flagship export frozen product, was 1.37 euro/kg. As compared to 2007 the average price of frozen strawberries was higher by 0.12 euro/kg.

The high annual average price resulted from high prices between January and June 2008, when strawberries from 2007 crops were being sold (in 2007 crops were lower than average). Strawberries achieved the highest price in January 2008 – 1.47 euro/kg, while in January 2007 the price was 1.05 euro/kg.
