Poland : demand for onion still high

The situation on onion market is stable. The demand is still high but the supply is low and one cannot expect changes due to the lack of onion in whole Europe. As a result prices remain high.

On Wednesday, February 24 the minimum price of good quality onion, size 40 + was 1.00 PLN (0.25 €)/kg and in mazowieckie province price reached 1.25 PLN (0.31 €)/kg. Price of onions imported from the Netherlands reach 1.40 PLN (0.35 €)/kg.
